Default 93SV installed ready to go

    Got it installed last night.

Any tips . I fish a deep rocky clear lake .

Is it best to set sidescan to manual? On the side to side range?

Also what's the quickest way to mark Fish off to the side ?

That part seems complicated...Or I'm doing it wrong...

Shouldn't be complicated at all, just use cursor to move crosshairs to fish/structure and press select key to mark that location. Do not press "mark" as that will just mark position of boat.

My 93sv is kind of funny sometimes just in sideview in that is slow sometimes when I hit a direction key to give the cursor. Just sideview, never 2d or downview, not sure why.

I wish I could edit that wasn't probably very clear.

When you see fish/structure you want to mark press one of the four direction keys. That freezes the image and also brings up crosshairs. From there just continue to use direction keys until crosshairs are over desired location and then hit the "select" button to create waypoint at the location where crosshairs are.

    Hope this helps.

Pab1981 is dead on with his instructions. Heard a lot of folks complain but they were using 'Mark" in stead of "SELECT". Mark notes the boat position, Select notes the cover/target position. Hope you enjoy your unit as much as I have mine. Got mine last April. Amazing what I have found. Easy to navigate.

I really haven't messed with mine much, it has done what I need it to do running in auto medium on brightness and contrast. I do set side scan width manually to around 50-100ft depending on water depth.

That said, I think the setting your looking for on Garmin is brightness. Try running it up until it whites out detail and then backing it off a little.

Good looking pics. Do you like the 800 on dv? I usually run 455 there, sometimes go back and forth on sv. Don't think I can say I see significant difference for where I am. did notice that your center line is not same side to side on sv. Could be a few different things.

800 is better for details in shallow water

The zoom feature on SC is your friend..
