Transducer wire information
I currently have a Hummingbird 570. It is a trolling motor mount for the transducer. As it is being used on a 10 ft boat there is an excess of wire after it is plugged into the unit. The excess is coiled up bout a 5 inch diameter coil with zip ties to secure it. I will be purchasing a DI, Si unit shortly. Will the coil cause any problems with the new more sophisticated unit. If so how do I get around the problem. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If it turns out to be a problem, take the coil and fold it over itself to form a figure 8 and tie off in the middle to hold in place.

There could be possible crosstalk interference if you run 2 units at the same time ...
This is not a result of the cabling in any way ...
Crosstalk interference happens when 2 units are transmitting at the same frequency at the same time ...and each unit doesn't know what to do with the return echo from the other unit ...
Crosstalk interference can be minimized some with the "Noise Filter" setting under the Sonar tab ... But most likely will need to shut the Sonar off of one unit ...
