    In this picture that Bill Carson took,the helix 12 appears to be taller than the onix 10.....

    This will make it very difficult for external media or Internet comparisons between HELIX and ONIX ... simply because once the ONIX image is not actually "live" on the ONIX display anymore ...that very ONIX image is not "true" to what the user would see "live" on the ONIX display ...

    Rickie,I think that the helix and onix snapshot is identical. Both use the .jpeg format. The humminbird core series units use the .png

    If the HELIX does save snapshots as jpeg... It will be difficult to compare the quality of HELIX images on the internet ...
