Get a 1/4 in. aluminum plate long enough to put 2 bolts behind the 2 you can get in ,let the plate extend out to bolt 2 more of the motor to. You will end up with 4 bolts in the boat and 4 in the motor the back 2 bolts will be just through the plate and boat the next 2 will go through the motor plate and boat, the very front 2 will be through the motor and plate.

Be sure and get the one that slides and not the puck style, I have the puck and don't like it but it can be locked.

MKA-16-02 top slides off leaving bottom plate on boat. there is a slot for a lock. Also when I need to put travel cover on boat I slide motor out of bracket and lay on deck. I also have a ram mount that holds the head of motor. When I take motor off and lay on deck for travel I hook to ram mount arm and trolling motor will not move. There is also a member on here that makes the arm to hold the head in place. I understand he is cheaper

I have one. It has a hole in the top and bottom that matches up in the run position that a person could put a lock in. The mount has worked out really well for me.

You can see it at the bottom of page 1.

Those pics really help. Does it have a place that you can lock it in the pulled back position? Or a place that I can drill one out?

No place to lock it in the retracted position. I would need to take a look at mine to see if there is someplace to drill a hole for a lock. I have no doubt it could be done with a little thinking/engineering.

Mka-47 is what you need but they are pricey.
