    Default Mounting a terrova

I just bought a new Terrova and need to mount it on the bow when I put it in place I can only get two bolts in the bow. Is that enough to hold it or should I get a mounting bracket? if I got a mounting bracket how would that help? What type of brackett should I get

No it's not. I drilled extra holes in the bracket it came with. Three on each side.

Don't think I would feel safe with just two bolts to hold it down. I went with the quick detach from minn kota which allows you to add another bolt or two plus it's easy to remove the motor when I have to put the travel cover on.

with two bolts you risk losing it to the bottom of the lake. if you have Ipilot, you will also have so much movement in the trolling motor that your gps mite not work properly, and it will just drive you nuts.

I am not near the boat to take a picture but it would have 4 bolts in it not just 2 i explained that wrong earlier. I know that a terrova has more overhang than other models but two of the bolts would be right in the nose of the boat the other two back only 6 inches or so. I have a 21 ft Tundra which looks like a big Lund. It has a large area to mount it and it is aluminum so not worried about it being strong. I still worry that even with 4 bolts the motor is a 101 and is heavy. I also worry about being able to put my cover on. Do they make a bracket that would allow me to slide it back so I could cover it, the cover was custom made for my old setup? I worry about a quick release because my boat sits in a dock hoist and that would make it much easier for someone to steal.

MKA-47 Universal Mounting Bracket this one should work, MK has several models that will work with the terrova, you might have to drill a new hole to be able to lock it when it is slid back to store it.
