One more question. Is there any advantage to the shoot thru ducer other than reading depth while on plane? Not sure I really need to have depth on plane when fishing on Truman. I have ran it for years and pretty well know where I can safely run. At 65mph its to late by the time you see you are shallow water to shut it down in time. The SI/DI ducer should read fine at idle speeds which is where I need a depth reading while idling into creeks and such. It is not that much money to buy the ducer and Y cable if it will help in any other way. If not I may wait to see if I miss the depth reading while at speed.
