Thread: Thinking about getting me a 998 for front of my boat

I have a 998 SI on the bow and a 858 DI HD on the console. The big difference is no matter how the sun shines I can glance at the 858 and see it clearly. With the 998 I may have to adjust the angle on the mount or tilt my head a bit. Is it a $400 worthy difference imo, no but for $155 I'd go for it. I bought my 998 ,as you mentioned, from a site sponsor clearing out the standard screen models.

As far as the size between the two you can see it looking at the two side by side but it's only an inch. In the field when you busy fishing you don't see the difference concentrating on the readout. If you were talking a 3" screen next to an 7-8" sure.
