trolling motor speed?????

I have a Moterguide trolling motor. Today speed 1 and 3 did not work. Is thus an easy fix? Anyone else had the same problem? First time I have had any problems with this TM... crappie1133

Define easy. More than likely it is the speed coils, and that's going to require disassembling the lower unit. It's an easy job for an authorized service center, and you can do it yourself, but you'll need to buy the parts from an ASC. If you want to DIY, PM me and I'll connect you with an ASC who can tell you how to verify what your problem is and tell you how to do the fix.
