    Thanks for the link. I have seen a couple of his but I'm new to the advanced electronics game and I want more and more of the latest technology. So far I've kind of relied on Doug vahrenberg a videos but most of his stuff seems pretty advanced which has helped me along pretty quickly

    the new Ipilots connect to the humminbirds via Ethernet cable. they also have GPS in the ipilot to use with or without humminbirds. 998 and 1198 have this port. I am not familiar enough with the other units, they may also.
    They also will let you follow contours from your Humminbird . nice feature but pricey.
