    Default Ram mount for HDS5


    Is a 1" ball ram mount good enough for the hds5, or do I need a 1.5" ball? A friend has a 1" mount that I can buy, but wanted to make sure it's stout enough. Thanks.

    I think you will need the 1.5" mount. I'm pretty sure the 1" mounts are only for small stuff like handheld GPS units.

    The 1"Ram mount will hold up to 3lbs. The 1.5" will hold up to 10lbs.
