Where to mount???
I am pretty sure I am going to buy a Lowarance Elite 7 HDI. My question is will I get a good picture on DI if I mount the transducer on the trolling motor? I can mount on an old hand held trolling motor that doesn't work. This will prevent side to side movement and picture blurring, or is this a big deal. You guys with DI can provide needed input . Thanks for any comments.

Sorry bout that, he was wondering how to mount the skimmer transducer to the TM. Is there a different transducer you can purchase for it?

Sorry for the confusion . I was wondering how well the unit will work off of a trolling motor mounted transducer as barnacle bill stated . I have heard that they didn't get as good of a picture, or were blurry or that speed was a big factor. That is why I was wondering about using a stationary mount, like an old non working trolling motor. Thought guys with DI on the trolling motor could give some insight. Thanks guys.
