Thanks I have the instructions but I was wanting to know if its best place for it to work my options are transom mount or I maybe in the market for a jack plate and I could mount it there because I am putting a new motor on it in march

either way will work. If you decide on the transom mount, might consider either the sternmate or stern saver (use google). Both of these are the cutting board type material that glues onto the boat so you don't have to drill holes thru the hull. You then just mount the LSS2 directly to the either of these with screws, and if you need to fine tune the location, no additional holes in the hull. I have a LSS 1 mounted to a stern saver, and it works just fine.

Either location will probably give the same basic results in terms of performance, you may have to tilt the OB up to ensure the lower unit is not blocking the L or R side signal depending on where you mount the LSS2 in relation to the OB.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Close up. Minners died in the tank, so I took it out and put in something useful.

One switch is for air pump, the other for LSS.
