You need to get lessons from BillBob on how to speak to Ladys. I had my cover within 4 days free of charge.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but got a different boat and have been wondering how to figure out what model trolling motor it has. It's a Min Kota 80lb thrust foot control trolling motor. Noticed you mentioned a serial number, where would I find that on the unit? Could I use it to identify what unit I have? Thanks in advance.

The number is a part number for the board but I think the SSN is on the bottom of the head unit.

You don't need the autopilot board to run the Ipilot. A standard board without AP will work. You would not be able to reinstall autopilot though.

Try disconnecting the Ipilot and plugging your foot pedal back in before ordering a new board. Everything should work except steering.

Cane Pole, I plugged in the foot pedal and the trolling motor worked find at all speeds. Does this mean it is the control board that needs replaced. I want to order one today if I need one, the fish said they wouldn't wait on me to bite!!

Based on the original post, the control board is good. What style remote do you have? New or old style? The remotes seem to be the big failure of the Ipilot system as it receives the most abuse or use. Also, have you changed your remote battery lately?
