Thread: horizontal lines???

    Default horizontal lines???


    was out today and began to see these horizontal lines. Occurred in both clear mode and max mode. faintly saw same lines on my 998.....
    Any hints as to possible cause(s)

    Looks like possible sonar-to-sonar crosstalk...

    Were you running both sonars at the same time...??

    Turn one of them off.....I think thats caused by running 2 ff's with the same frequency at the same time.

    Try turning on and up the Noise Filter setting and see if that helps filter this out on the unit the lines are showing on.

    You really mean the vertical lines right? as in up and down.

    You can only run one Humminbird at a time? I think HB used to give out a free interference kit, since it happened to almost everyone. maybe Greg can get you one.

    You can ran more then one bird at a time. I run 2 and sometimes 3. If you havent tried, run your power directly to your battery. If the finder is on your trolling motor, try a ground wire bolted to your trolling skeg, and run it to yournegative on your battery.
