    Not to be a skeptic here, but I have not seen a heading sensor unit for less than $500usd.

    Well you will now.

    Wish I had more information to offer you guys but about all I know has already been stated. I have not seen one on the water yet and it look like I won't get to this month at least (normal training duties will interfere with that! ).

    I think you are right Rickie. I was expecting to see a inertial nav sensor as the next step. Heading is still good.

    A little more info, which makes perfect sense: This is going to be required to accurately mark waypoints with a 360 sonar. It seems reasonable that the 360 would have to know which may the boat is pointing when the image is captured to be able to mark a waypoint.

    I believe this receiver will come with the 360 unit. Previously all heading sensors I have seen installed on boats were for radar.

    I also think this unit is based on the High Accuracy gps with electronic compass.

    i not sure were i read this, but i think someone posted that this sensor thingey that yall are talking about was not on the humminbird web site. so herres a link that i saw yesterday............AS GRP undeur model number click the drop down menu

    duncan,thats the best compliment that ive ever heard you say about humminbird.your saying that this puck with the sensor in it is valued more than humminbird is charging its customers for it.once again, " thanks humminbird" ands thanks duncan, i believe your headed back to humminbird in the future
