Which one is the better map, Fishing Hot Spot or Navionics Hotmaps? I can only afford to buy 1 and I don't want to screw this up!!!!!!!!!!

Navionics on Ky and Barkley lakes for sure, have both.

From what I can gather the Fishing Hot Spots maps are made by Angler-Products.com and don't cover near as many lakes as the Navionics HotMaps...

Well I am in the process of downloading the Navionics app to my computer I will let you know how that goes, but so far everything that i have seen, I absolutely love the Navionics Hot map. They have 1 foot contour lines on Kentucky Lake. Which is aboslutely unbeliveable detail as far as I am concerend. So in my opinion the Navionics is worth the money.

Maybe you can contact each company with coordinates of areas that interest you. See if they will send you a bitmap of those areas.
The paper maps that Hot Spots sells for the Tenn River lakes in North Alabama are based on the surveys done in the 30's before they flooded the areas. A lot of the ditches and contours shown on the maps have since silted in. I'm not sure what their digital maps are based on.
The Navionics digital maps of these same lakes are hit and miss. They have great detail in some areas and totally skipped surveying other areas. Naturally, the places they skipped seem to be the places I'm most interested in fishing.
