898 si Wont power up......
Checked the voltage at the plug and got 11.6 volts going into the unit. Pluged it up to another boat and it came on fine. Im guessing that its a plug issue but wanted a second opinnion. Gonna get some Dielectric grease and try that later but dont have high hopes.

Make sure you got the Positive & Neg. right. Won't work if it is backwards on the polarity.

Bend the pins in the plug "slightly"...
There have been numerous cases of intermitant connections in the HB plugs...

On mine, I've got to hold the power button for a second or two before it powers up.

Sometimes the screw that holds the power cable plug into the mount will get lose from vibration and the plug will drop down a little. When that happens you will get intermittent power outages. You just have to get the plug back up where it is supposed to be and tighten the screw(s). Had the exact problem on my bow unit and this is what I found. This cured my problem.
