    Default 2d & SI placement

How close do the 2d ducer & the SI ducer need to be to each other? Due to boat configuration and trailer bunks, I'm thinking about putting the 2d ducer on one side of the boat & the SI ducer on the other side. Will this cause any problems? I am puttting a HDS-10 on a stratos 278 bass boat if it makes any difference. Thanks for helping those of us that are new to SI.

You will loose the 2d overlay on the downscan. For that they need to be within 1ft. I think it could be less it tells you in the manual.

I am far from being an expert; however, I do know that HB recommends placing a transducer on the starboard (right) side of the transom if prop turns clockwise, and vice versa. So with one transducer on each side, one of them will get some interference from the prop wash. I don't know to what extent; i.e., how bad it will be affected.
