    Default Tm battery help please


    I recently purchased a mk 55 lb transom Endura tm it's upgraded from a 40 I'm using an ever start marine model 94 with 27dc6 part no. 115 amp hours . My question is my new trolling motor loss great power after an hour and a half run time when I put it on charge back home it was only at 63% should I gt a new bigger battery or what would cause that thanx

    what speed was you running it on low it last long time the higher you get more power drain you will have a high drain on a battery in no time running on hi also how old is your battery

    Battery is less than a year old and I ran top speed for 20 minutes or so but mainly on like 2

    I hooked it upto 12 volt lawn mower battery for min after disconnecting fish finder and it took off just making sure tm was ok

    Sounds like the battery might be getting tired. Once you get it charged up, disconnect the charger and let it sit for several hours. Then check it with a digital volt meter. A good deep cycle battery should have 12.8 to 13.1 volts. If it's down to even 12.5 then it has lost about 20% of its life and is on the fast track to battery heaven.

    It's still under 1 year warranty at Walmart I called me and they said they have to test it first before I exchange it

    Maybe 120 at the most

    120 minutes is a long run time for a 27 series deep cycle. You probably have the 150 minute RC, so your battery will probably run your motor on max for about 75 minutes and somewhat longer on lower settings depending on wiring, current and boat weight.
