    I just order a HDS-10 Gen 2 with Structure Scan. Where is the best place to locate the LSS-1 module on your boat?

    Mine is mounted in my Ranger Angler in the tray under the drivers console. It is easily accessible and out of the weather.

    I got a Tracker 175 and I mounted mine under the front deck. You have to take off the little panel at the front to get to it, but I never had to. I have the ducer up front also

    Mine is located on the back wall of the front storage box directly in front of the console.

    Just comes down to preference, and convenience. Some people use 2 of them, so it's more or less dictated by space in the boat.
