Some motors need to be disconnected from the system when the batteries are being charged. Ranger typically hardwires TMs and uses a breaker/switch at the back to allow turning the TM off for charging.

I currently have my t/m hard wired. Thinking about new m/k maxxium; my buddy says that I cannot hard wire it as it pulls current when off. I need to plug/unplug it. Anything to this? Is he messin with me?
A person should learn something new every day!

My V2 has power on the control circuit all the time. It draws about 100ma when left connected. Takes about 2-4 weeks to run a battery down if left unattended. Breaker switch or Perko battery switch woulud work as stated by CatFan..
