We tried them at work a few years back. Since we had several hundred batteries at a time in use in the lab, we were always having battery problems. My best recollection is that we might have seen some improvement in 1 out of 10 batteries at most. It doesn't make them like new. It just let them drop their charge current so the bank looked charged.
Better to just keep them charged 24/7 and not worry about it.
