    Default Question

I think I have the boss lady talked into me getting a new fish finder. My question is what should i buy in the $500-$600 price range? I have an old eagal that I use for depth but I want to be able to find brush piles. Any help or advice from you experts on this board would be great.

Hummingbird 597ci HD bass pro 499.00
Lowrance Elite 5. Bass pro 549.99

Both have GPS and fit your budget Look on HB web site check close outs or get on web and check pricing might find one cheaper. If you can find a 597 ci non HD it is same unit save some money buy PC attachment cord and update and have HD.

Remember this. "Fishfinder" is a bait and switch term. When you purchase/acquire a fishfinder, well shoot, they only send you a sonar.

I would bet Brian at http://www.crappie.com/crappie/membe...bbgmarine.html would beat that MSRP...

Fishes are a moving target, so this claim is ambiguous.

I agree Tom....I wish the sonar manufacturers would not use the "fishfinder" term...

The 597ci HD DI Combo will give you 2d/DI and GPS chartplotter capabilities...

You could find the brush with the 2d (or the DI)...
See what the brush looks like with the DI...
Mark the brush with the GPS..
Return to the brush over and over...

l like the humminbird fishfinders but i really dont think you can go wrong with a lowrance fishfinder or garmin fishfinder .just check around to get the best price and be sure to read the specs. so you get what you want.
