    Default navionics problem?


    I ordered a navionics hotmap premium card for my humminbird 1197c unit, took the plastic off the box, inserted the card into my depthfinder, and nothing. Have been to the lake that is on it a couple of times and never did anything, I havent tried it yet in my 597c yet. Any advice?

    You might want to check your 1197 to see what the settings are on reading the maps

    Go under the "Chart" tab to "Chart Select".....set to "Auto"...

    Insert the Navionics card...

    Go to "System Status" view..

    The card should show...I think it's in the bottom right hand corner of the "System Status" view page...

    Mkeller,
    I would try the same map card in your 597c unit. If the problem is with the mapping card than neither unit will read it.
