    Doesn't the installed Insight have shaded contours? It looks like it does on the website.

    The Navionics Platinum has the shaded relief too, also the buoys that are shown on it are very close to their actual location on the lake. I would like to run the insight card beside my Platinum to see if it shows more detail in the back 1/3 of the big bays in KY lake.

    Yes, but you have to be zoomed way out. can't remember the distance. It's not bad, but not as good for the $ as the insightHD card. The insight card has usable storage also, so you aren't losing a card slot.
