For sure not unless you have the Kindle Fire, and I don't know that anything is available for the fire.

Kindle Fire has no GPS chip on board.

I got this app on my android phone and tablet. For 10 bucks on both devices it is well worth the investment. I use it when I am sitting around wanting to plan my next days trip from the sofa. The contour data is better than the base map that comes in the depth finders I have on the boat. On good weather days I will take it on the boat and pan around looking for areas similar to what I am fishing as I troll.

I got an ipad for Christmas. Would I have to purchase any software to run the app on it?

Nope. Just download the app from the App Store and you will be good to go.

You do have to have a 3G enabled version of the iPad, as only that version
has a GPS chip on board.

I just got this app on my phone. Was hoping someone could tell me why I can only zoom in to 0.3 mile? It isn't a very user friendly app.

Maybe it's just my phone, but in my opinion the app is a piece of junk. Started out being able to view the map, but now I can't get anything. Uninstalled and reinstalled app 3 times and still won't show me the maps. I wouldn't waste the money on it.
