The articles I read also said the lower amp charge will extend the life of the battery and the higher amp charges will shorten the life of the battery. One article stressed the importance on charging the deep cycle battery soon after use to extend the life of the battery. Most everything you will need to know about what type battery to buy and how to care for the battery can be found on google.
