i clicked the run program not the save. It goes thru the 252 MB takes about 25 minutes then walks you thru install wizard, then says sucessfully loaded on SD card. dont get any errors or anything. Dont know if i am doing something wrong, or the SD card isnt getting something, or if the HDS unit isnt downloading for some reason.

I did the upgrade a little over a year ago and didnt have any problems.
When the file is in your SD card, has it been opened yet? It should show a sims folder, an update folder and something else I think. If it shows these files, then your 5 should pick up on them during startup. If the file has not been opened, it will not pick up on the update.
