    Default Fish finder question

I just ordered a hummingbird 570 and have questions.
I will be using it trolling for crappie in a lake thats not deep (12' or less).
Do i need this on my trolling motor or transom?
Do i need to buy the adaptor for a trolling motor mount?

    Thanks

I'd mount it at the TM if that's where you will be steering while you troll. You'll be looking at it a lot and you won't want to strain to see it.

Most of the time you can use the transom mount and a big hose clamp to mount the transducer to the TM. If you fish stumpy waters, you may want to get a TM transducer.

Call Humminbird. They will have you send the transom ducer in, and send you a TM ducer at no charge.
