    Default Terova help

I recently put a Terova on the front of my Nitro bass boat. Like the motor a lot, but have one issue I need help with. When loading or unloading the motor base comes very close (actually hit twice) the rollors on the trailer. I could move the motor, but to make it clear with any room to spare, I would have to turn it almost sideways. Any ideas or suggestions.

    Thanks in advance............

I had the same problem, I actually broke the side cover. The only way I found to not do any more damage is when I back the boat into the water, I leave the winch cable hooked. When I float the back of the boat then I get out and shove the boat away from the roller and lift at the same time. When I load it, I don't pull all the way up to the roller and winch the boat the rest of the way up. Its extra trouble but safer for the MK. BTW, I really like my terrova too.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

I had a taller mount made to make the motor clear the winch. It took about 3 inches taller on my boat to make sure it would clear on a steep ramp.

I've helped mount a couple of $40 slide bases on boats for friends that had the same problem with it hitting the bow roller on the trailer when loading/unloading. MK offers this aluminum base for the Terrova and it can be slid rearward for clearance (or completely removed) with ease. It corrected the problem. Here's a link but shop around for a better price.
