Default Maybe a silly question but.........

How do I look at my snapshots taken with the HB 898?

    Two ways:
1.) On the 898 unit. Make sure that he Snapshot and Recording View is set to “Visible” (look under the Views menu tab for this) and than use the VIEW or EXIT button to scroll through the available Views until you get to it. Than use the Up/Down Arrow buttons to select the one you want and use the Right Arrow button to look at it.

2.) On your computer. The Screen Snapshots are saved to the SD memory card. Just install this memory card into the card reader on your computer and navigate to whatever drive it is and use the software on your computer to view each picture file. Depending on your computer and its setup; when you install the SD memory card it may automatically start showing the pictures.

Go to the recording page. Scroll to the snapshot you want to see and hit rt arrow to view.

I exported nav data to the SD card. I put it in the computer and look at the directory for drive E: 2 folders - Record and Matrix. Neither shows anything! When I look at the SD card on Humminbird PC, it shows saved points as S00029 and S00030 with camera icons. I am assuming these were the snaphots I took. Can't figure how to look at them! tj - what recording page are you referring to?

You can use Yellow Fin to view them on your PC.

Sorry, I thought you were viewing on the unit itself. If you are using the computer then open the sd card files and you should see a snapshot folder. Those file with the camera icons are your pics in png format I believe. Just double click on one and your computer's default picture viewer should open it. Humminbird PC works with nav data like waypoints and routes and tracks not pics.

Also make sure you have Screen Snapshot "On". It's under the accessories tab.
