Help !! I have looked for the thread that had the consensus of the best setting

for the HB units, I am not having much luck (mind you that I just got in from Doc and it maybe the meds ) I had to reset my 898 and 788 to factory to update sw for ethernet and I can not remember what it best all around

there's a youtube video I just used. you can do all your settings in simulation mode and they carry over to your usage mode.

Lately I have switched to 455 khz and your settings will change. I still go back and forth but the 800 seem to the the clearest but you loose some of your upper water column. The best way to get the right settings is to scan something, hit one of the arrow buttons (up, left, right, down) to freeze the screen, then adjust your settings till you have the best picture quality.

Also the most critical setting is to set you scroll speed equal to your MPH. I constantly change my scroll speed to get the best images.
