Thread: 898c SI needs help before i throw it in the lake!

ran the update onto my scan disk card---out to the boat in the dark--mosquitos rampant! put card in hds 7--nothing--went to files--showed the file--came back in house and will wait until the mosquitos are gone in the morning and then see whats going on. i thougtht the file should download automatically when i put it in and then turn it on. course i thought i would be seeing fish symbols by now too!!! lol and yes mduncan there are fish where i am testing. what were your colorline and sensitivity im asking for the second time---do youi know?

Crappiegirl, just to be certain that you are doing the update correctly.

You download the update, Run it, pick your SD card as the target. This will put the update on the SD card.

If you just downloaded the update to the SD card, that won't do anything.

I'll have to look tonight. I haven't adjusted anything, they're out of the box settings.

10 trips to the boat later--having trouble with download. shows its on scandisk , but does not download when i turn hds on---of course neither did the 3.5 upgrade, had to jury rig that one

Did you click on the download first and unpack the file? Or, did you just copy the download to the SD?

oh! i just copied the download to the sd---------then called Lowrance and got it right! lol thanks ! surprise coming !!! im am sooo excited!!
