Well I went and done it. I just bought another LSS-1 to put on the trolling motor. Instaling it today. I am trying to make a bracket but will probably order one soon. I also got rid of the HDS-8 and bought another HDS-10 for the front. I am wondering if I have enough battery life to run everything.Has anyone put 2 cranking batteries in parallel and will the 40 amp boat charging system suffer any ?? Also going to add the SonicHub in a few days. Got to have some tunes while riding around in circles all day.Ain't got time to fish anymore. To many toys on the boat.

I bought a lawn tractor battery to power my HDS-8. I didn't want to lose power to the 8 when trolling motor, or big motor battery started getting weak. They're small and light, but maintain enough power for the electronics. I do know how much the Sonic Hub will draw, but I wouldn't think it's that much unless you're constanly rocking out.

rockmike,
Sounds like you got the setup I need. You got any schematics or drawings of how you have the isolator setup. I like that idea. What kind of isolator are you using? Thanks a bunch!

I like your adapter Canepole. Looks like you had the same problem I did. Not enough room. I will take a pic of mine.Had to cut part of the skeg off and grind a little here and there. MinKotta 70 Maximum is not made for the LSS-1 transducer. Also had to drill a hole in the skeg to mount the 2D transducer. Heck of a time getting everything to fit. Took me 5 hours all said and done. Can't wait to get on the water and see how everything works. How is Brenda doing Tom? I hope she will be ready to fish soon!!
