    This sells for around 35.00 connect another HDS unit to the lss-1, share data, waypoints, view the SS/DS. I believe you can connect a non-HDS unit to the network, and share gps, waypoints, etc., but not the SS/DS.

    So what you're telling me is I'll need to pick up one just to connect the HDS 8, or will I get a freebie with the LSS-1 unit?

    The cable to connect the LSS1 to the HDS 8 is included in the LSS1.

    you'll have to purchase the ethernet cable to connect additional units. Might talk to your supplier and see if he'll give you a deal.
