    Default 2 hb 898 units


    hey guys been a member for a couple of years but just do a lot of reading. I was thinking of upgrading electronics to 2 hb 898 units. Can I buy one combo and one head unit only? I know the front would read what the console reads but that is not a problem. thanks for any help on this.

    I think that we do sell the 898c Si units as a “CHO” version. This would be everything that the normal version has except the transducer does not come with it.

    Just an FYI: the Ethernet software that allows for the sharing of sonar data has not been released yet.

    I would have to look at a price off of a web site somewhere.
    ETA on the Ethernet software: I don’t know… Nothing official has been said yet.

    I'm just glad HB included the connector on some of the units already so that I don't have to buy a new unit just to get the ethernet capability when it becomes available...

    The interlink has been spotty at best.

    I hope the ethernet is as good as .... well.... better than what I experience at home!

    Agreed. If the Ethernet is limited to a connect between 2 units, it's still not up to snuff either. HB is still a ways behind Low in this category.
