    Keep in mind the Humminbird has SONAR and DI in their 500 series ducers. Lowrance only has DI.. hence some of the reasoning for pricing differences.

    Yes I will have in different locations. I will have 2 bases, one at the console and one on the bow. The plan is next year to buy the same unit (maybe a step up or a step down) that will plug into the existing base. As long as the technology doesn't change drasticly my idea should work.

    Did not think of this yesterday Bluethunder, but I bet that they quoted you the cost of both the second transom mount XNT-9-DI-T transducer plus the AD-XTM9 Trolling Motor Adapter.
