ya'll dont take this wrong,me asking the questions i like the ideal of a gps working at .4 miles per hour, but i still dont have proof of any of hummingbirds competitors doing this. i asked a person at work today that has a fairly new lowrance unit with gps,how his worked at low speeds.he told me basically the same thing that my garmin gps does his lowrance does. once you slow down or stop it just starts moving all around.the only difference with the hummingbird is that the software they have just shuts down at low speeds so as to keep you from this incorrectness. ive tryed useing my garmin at these speeds.it kindof looks like it works but it really doesnt do very well[/QUOTE]

There's nothing wrong with asking questions...

Sometimes questions that do not "seem' to relate..actually turn out to relate perfectly....

And sometimes they do not...one shouldn't be reluctant to ask...and once the question is determined whether it relates or not...we move on with more discussion....

This is fulfilling the 2nd goal of "Project HB Donut"...keeping the venue of discussion open ...

I have been informed that we now have the side by side video comparison in hand and will be posting it very shortly...thanks to Release to the Grease....

I hope everyone watches it several times and maybe we can discover some answers to the question that NO ONE has been able to answer as of yet.....

How does the competition work around the "Donut" in a price competitive unit...??
