I just can't understand H/B not addressing the issue if it's just a simple problem. They've stepped up the the plate with a lot of new stuff. There must be something holding them back.

We have to remember the difference in "simple fix" vs "cost efficient fix"....
HB is just like any other big corporation......
It will take X number of dollars to fix this......
HB has to determine (in their corporate way of thinking)....if that X number of dollars investment can be offset by....either of the following 2 things...
1. more sales because of the fix....OR
2. realization of less lost sales to Lowrance due to the fix....
That's how big business works....it's all about the $$$...

I havent really followed the electronics portion of that forum...maily just learning tactics and techniques....from what I know though I would say they troll faster than we do, most boats up there have a kicker motor on it that they use for trolling, but they do use HB and if they want HB to uphold their standard of being the best then they should be supporting it

Doug and Tmike will never see a problem with HB. When HB sponsors you, your right to think freely is bought. Plain and simple. Why do you think they split up the electronics forums over there? Then the HB boys had to add an extra, so people could guess what they were looking at, this really surprised me.
