This should have been fixed along time ago.
I am with crappiemax on this with the donut thing as much as I like one of the new units coming out. I think I am might be going with the HDS series. I thought maybe I could deal with the donut but why should I pay that kind of money for a unit that is not going to do what I want. I am going to call HB C.S. and pretty much say the same as crappiemax.

Rickie - I can do that video comparison you're asking for, it will be an HB997, an Eagle 640c (Lowrance knockoff) and a Garmin 60csx and Delorme PN40 side by side, speed controlled by iPilot which should also be showing a GPS speed reading. I will be on the lake if not tomorrow then Monday.
Grease ...that would be great....we can use all the ammo we can gather...

We need to get this on youtube and anywhere else we can think of to bring this issue out in the wide open..

HB has to eventually realize they are losing customers and money....keep pressing...

Remember we are all in this together...us against HB.....

We will eventually get loud enough...patience and perserverence...

Chaunc...that video will definately be a good learning tool to show someone who doesn't even know what the "Donut" is....

You posting that here in the "Project HB Donut" thread where it can easily be found is appreciated...

Chaunc..do you have an HDS or a Garmin that you could also do a side by side video showing how HB is being left behind in technology...??

Several videos from several different people showing the comparison (or better stated lack of comparison) in HB and Lowrance slow speed GPS issues is fuel we can use in "Project HB Donut"...

Duncan, you stated the problem wrong on BBC. You are telling folks that the GPS doesn't track at slow speeds. Look at Chaunce's video. Its tracking when he slowed down below 0.5, it just doesn't give you a direction arrow.

This is where the side by side comparison video will be best utilized....people will be able to see for themself what the problem is...

The video will show that the HB will not do what the Lowrance or the Garmin does at slow GPS speeds.....

HB owners want exactly what the Lowrance and the Garmin will do in our HB units ...

And I certainly hope that HB does not want to ever say that we should have bought Lowrance or Garmin if we are not satisfied....

That would open a can of worms that would haunt them forever....
