    Default New LSS-1 installation

I'm installing my new Structure Scan and plan on connecting the power supply to an open fuse in the fuse panel instead of running the wire directly to the battery.
My question is, since I'm connecting to the fuse panel, do I really need the inline fuse? I don't think it's necessary but would like some opinions. By the way, both of my HDS units are wired into the fuse panel and I did not use the inline fuse on either of them, I'm using 3 amp fuses and haven't had an issue with either HDS unit......

    Thanks,

If it is fused, the location is really not relevant except for access. Hook it up. If you have problems, then you know where to look since you are not home running your LSS power.
