    Default Advice on TM mount???

Well I bite the bullet on a new MK PD V2 with I-Pilot :D Any suggestion on mounting it on this
boat??? Mount in the same spot?? MK base looks smaller not sure. It will be here end of the week and I want to make sure I got what I need to mount it.
    Any insight would be great.

I just bought the samething but with co-pilot, I had to move mine up and over a little bit. The only thing I did not like was the trolling motor having to go out past the front of the boat but that is the price we have to pay for the power drive. I have mine mounted and it is solid!! I just have to finish wiring it up. I can't wait to try it out. I'll try get some picks of what I'm talking about.

You might be able to use 2 or more of the same holes. The pd gives you lot of choices.

Why do they hang over so far. Do I need to make a mounting plate and raise it up and over???

They hang over so far because you have to make sure that the shaft will deploy straight up and down and not hit the boat. try a dry run by deploying the motor then sit the TM where you want it and see if it clears, if not then you need to move it farther out.
