    Yesterday while fishing a tour. my 788ci in 26 ft. of water would jump to 120ft.bottom then slowly scroll back up ti 30ft.It would show fish at 28ft. in 26ft. of water.All up dates have been installed.Shuold I send it back to HB or what,could it be transd.VERY PUZZLED and don't know what to do next.Any help appreciated CAPP

    I have the same FF and not sure I'm really liking it. Does have a mind of it's own sometimes. Mine will read fine for a while and then lose bottom all together then come back on. Really frustrating at times. Have tried about every different setting I can think of.

    Try a different transducer. I've had the same problem and changed out the transducer and the problem went away.

    Thanks Charlie just spoke to HB and a new one is coming,they said transd. was the problem.Also when my GPS was moving around a lot the fix is NORTH-UP something I have not tried.At slow to no speed processer will go back to NU automatically so it jumps around.MAKESSENSE DUH.Will try and post findings.

    Try course up. It will keep the screen in the same direction that the boat is moving

    Thanks for posting Capp. My 788 was doing the same thing on Jordan today. I was guessing the transducer.
