    Question I-pilot

Posted this on the I-pilot Forum , So I'll try it on this one ? maybe a real dumb ? but to save me some Money ?anyway here goes,

I have a 55lb PowerDrive V2 on my boat now, thinking of getting the i-pilot for it $400,
do away with the foot control, then maybe if the money gets better next year get an 80lb Terrova, Will the setup on the PDV2 change over to the Terrova ?? or will i have to get the Terrova with the i-pilot ? thought maybe there was away to save some money if it would somehow work.looking at $400 now & $700 next year plus battery 24volt,If, or $1400 plus battery,
    Thanks

I can't answer your question about the PD to Terrova changeover but, I can tell you that I love my Terrove 80/24 with US2 and i-pilot.

The i-pilot works for either motor. Just unplug it from your PD and plug it into your Terrova, you'll be good to go.

I don't believe the I-Pilot is the same for each motor. If you check cabelas online catalog, they list 1 for the Terrova, and 1 for the Powerdrive. Each one has a different stock number.

The shafts are different sizes, so something won't work.

They plug in differently. The V2 has wires that you have to plug in separately and the Terrova is plug in. Takes about 5 minutes on the Terrova and 1/2 or longer on the V2.
