    Default Trolling Motor Needs?

Hey guys got a Alumacraft 1648 NCS. Going to buy a MK 45 edge and quick disconnet (boat sets in driveway). Just wanted to know 1. what wiring do I need for trolling motoring? Heard I need a male and female plug(battery is the back) 2. Front deck is below the lip of the boat about 3.5 inches (what kind of mount do I make or buy below the quick disconnect. Couldn't find one for sale on the Internet. Thanks in advanced Milky!!

You want to get good quality wiring to make it work its best. I'd go with at least 8 gauge, preferably 6, and install a breaker as recommended by MK at the battery. These folks GenuineDealz.com - Marine Electrical, Boat Wire & Cable, Custom Battery Cables will custom make a cable for you out of marine wire.

You can build the mount up with treated lumber or use a couple of pieces of square aluminum tubing to raise it up and mount the quick disconnect to that.
