So you are using 12 sats for tracking, so the old lesser channel receivers sound like they are just as good.

I'd be interested to know if you have ever used more then 12 at a time, not just known more then 12 were there. Canepole, can you do something up for the lowrance units. I have a 16 channel, and now I'm feeling like it's not enough to keep track of where I am.
