I pilot remote**COMPLAINT**

I got my first complaint today - went out to do some trolling and just as i got the first fish on and in the boat i went to adjust the direction i was heading and my left turn button didnt work. I definetly see getting a second remote in the future. Once the remote goes you are D-O-N-E(especially if you are trolling) I took the back off like i was going to replace the battery and the little peg that contacts the circuit board was broken. Im going to call Minn Kota tomorrow and see if they can just send me the piece that goes under the buttons. They are all connected together so it would be easy to lift out the old and in with the new. Anyone ever dealt with their customer service??

Had a similar problem with mine. The contact under the button flattened, causing the motor to turn to the left continuously. MinnKota service tech at Grizzly jig gave me a new remote.

just got off the phone with Minn Kota - new remote is on the way. I still think I am going to get another just as a back up and so I can fish this weekend.

Has anyone has problems with the GPS going out on cloudy days?

sorry for you trouble, talked to minn kota couple times they were always easy to deal with. so far no problems with the cloudy days and working well, I have noticed in the high winds it takes a bit to reposition on the spot lock, but all in all 8 out of 10 and climbing up

I have had a couple problems with my terrova I-pilot, but the i-pilot part was not my problem. It was all in the foot control. The sevice dept sent me a new FC and it solved all the problems. The customer service was first class all the way.

TnT, I think someone else posted having problems with the gps signal under cloudy conditions. I used mine last week two days in a row under very heavy cloud cover and had no problems at all.

My battery did start dying on me and I didn't have a spare. I've picked up three and shouldn't have that problem any more.

How does the auto-pilot work on that Maxxum? :rolleyes: I do a little guiding, it is nice being able to run the motor from the back of the boat.

Thats what I had! I wanted to get up to date! I got the Terrova 80 with I-pilot. No problems with mine.
