My thinking ( may be faulty ) is that it is an amperage problem rather than a voltage problem. Starters on anything tend to " hog " the juice. If my seat pedestals ever get here I will test theory out. But will wait until I am sure before I comment again. Like I said the probelm is intermittent and those can be a bugger to solve.
You prob right about the battery analysis, but my 797 nor my lowrance lcx27 nor my laptop reset when running and engine starts. I have a new crank battery too (wal mart everstart). I am sure it is a load problem or a noise impulse problem at starting. I only have problem with the 997.
