Thumbs up Happy Trails, that is Ipilot trails

There are three tracks on this map. One blue and two red. I plotted the blue (kinda looks black) track and loaded it to my 276 Garmin. Next we (Dynamic Trio) drove billbob's boat along the plotted track (blue) and then we let the I pilot follow the recorded path.

That Ipilot is slick as snot.

I wish I could upload/download predetermined tracks so I wouldn't haveta drive and record the tracks in the Ipilot memory.

I roamed off the plotted track watching the SI's as we traversed the ditch track.

I pilot followed my wandering boat path pretty good.

The map is Ky Hydrographyx maps of the area that I loaded onto my Garmin.

    Agreed.

We deployed the Terrova, then raised the motor housing out of the water, then drove the gauntlet. Safer than driving with TM in water. Worked out fine too.

Canepole, Sure would be nice to save tracks on an SD card, then next time, choose the one you want and go at it. Do you think that with Johnson Outdoors owning MinnKota and Humminbird, they may be able to link the H/B GPS into the I-Pilot? They also own Cannon downriggers, and they link them with H/B sonar to have the downrigger adjust to the depth contours.

I would say that Minn Kota is more than capable of doing these things, however the first units do not have this capability. I would say the first Ipilot was a pilot project to get a feel for the market. I am sure if the market is good, these features will be available in the near future for us tecko suckers.

No wind. It was hot, but we were in the Budweiser Cruiser with a on board 12v fan blowing on me.

I agree. It's a shame to take the time to lay out a track and then lose it when iPilot writes another track over it. The same applies to spot-locked locations. My handheld GPS will record a "yarn ball" track around the spot I locked, but it's tough to get back to & re-lock the exact center of the hot spot on a later trip.

Recognizing that a card slot will mean a hardware change ($$$), I'd also like to see a software upgrade to existing units that would add more memory buckets for tracks and spots.
