When I bought my new 80 lb thrust Terrova, I also bought two new group 27 Interstate batteries. I use this TM for 7 to 10 hours a day and have yet to run it down.
A month ago we camped out for three days. We'd fish from 7 to noon, stop, eat lunch and take a little siesta and get back at it around 2:30 and fish till 7 or 8.
After 3 days without recharging, my batteries were a little less than half charged. I could have fished at least another day this way, maybe more.
Don't skimp on the batteries. Get good ones and recharge as soon as you can. I'm adding a DC charger to the boat just for those remote, extended stay campouts!

let us know how they do please, I am looking at a swap out soon myself
I use 2 optimas D34 series and they last all day may two never tried as I always charge as soon as I get home.
How big is your boat? How long do you fish at a time? Are you always able to charge overnight?
I think its a waste to get huge batteries and not use them and just add weight to the boat.
Did a test run today. Pulling crankbaits for about 5 - 6 hours ( minus some time untangling lines but that's another story ).
Got home, hit the test button on the Trolling motor and all bars lit up!
And the bonus was that I even got to clean some fish.
Another bonus was that I caught my first sauger ever. That's a pretty fish.
